Committee seeks complete review of child sex laws

The Oireachtas committee set up to examine whether a referendum should be held on children's rights has come out in favour of new legislation rather than a constitutional amendment.

The committee was established after the Supreme Court struck down Ireland's previous laws outlawing sex with underage girls.
