The trade union movement says the latest round of social partnership talks is effectively over and there is nothing more the unions can put forward to reach a deal with the Government.

Speaking after a meeting of union leaders in Dublin today, ICTU general secretary David Begg said the main stumbling blocks in the talks have been measures to protect jobs and underpin pensions.
