Post mortems due on Mayo house fire victims

Post mortem examinations will be carried out today on the bodies of the couple who died in a house fire in Co Mayo yesterday.

The husband and wife, who were both in their 50s, have been named locally as Stephen and Josie Carey, from Muing, Barnatra, near Belmullet.

The blaze was discovered yesterday morning when a friend called to the house.

The scene is being examined by garda forensic experts.
