Man dies in Galway road crash

A 29-year-old man has died in a road crash in Galway.

It happened at Lissyconnor, on the main Dunmore to Glenamaddy Road.

A passing motorist informed local gardaí that a car had left the road and collided with fencing.

The exact time of the crash is unknown but it was discovered at about 6.20am this morning.

Gardaí at Tuam are investigating.

The road is closed pending a Garda Forensic Collision Investigation.
