Police in the North are investigating a petrol bomb attack on a house in east Belfast this morning.

The incident happened in the Templemore Avenue area shortly after 4am.

A bottle filled with petrol was thrown at the front door of the house, causing a small fire.

A 42-year-old woman, who was in the house at the time, is said to be shocked but uninjured.

The PSNI says it is trying to establish a motive for the attack.
