Harney cuts State fees for health professionals

Health Minister Mary Harney has announced cuts of up to 8% in the fees paid to health professionals who do work on behalf of the State.

The cuts will apply to GPs, dentists, psychiatrists, optometrists and others who have contracts with the HSE or who participate in the medical card scheme.
