Man hospitalised after Sligo stabbing

A 34-year-old man is recovering in hospital after being stabbed at a housing estate in Sligo last night.

Gardaí were called to a house at McNeill Drive in the Cranmore area at around 8pm.

They found a man suffering from a stab wound.

He was taken to Sligo General Hospital, where his condition is described as stable this morning.

A 25-year-old man was arrested at the scene and is being detained at Sligo Garda Station.
