MEPs approve cap on roaming charges across EU

The European Parliament has approved measures to cap the cost of roaming calls and text messages across the EU.

From July 1, mobile phone firms will only be allowed to charge a maximum of 43c per minute for outgoing phonecalls and 19c per minute for incoming phonecalls.
