Police revisit nurse murder scene

Detectives investigating the murder of Francis O’Neill in Omagh will revisit the scene today to speak to motorists and residents.

Detectives investigating the murder of Francis O’Neill in Omagh will revisit the scene today to speak to motorists and residents.

Mr O’Neill, 78, a former psychiatric nurse, was found dead in his Brook Valley home in the early hours of last Saturday.

Detectives will be in the area from about 4.30pm and are keen to speak to anyone who has information that could assist the inquiry.

A teenager appeared at Omagh Youth Court on Wednesday charged with the murder of Mr O’Neill.

The 16-year-old was remanded in custody for a week.
