A 16-year-old boy has been charged with the murder of a pensioner in Co Tyrone over the weekend.

A 16-year-old boy has been charged with the murder of a pensioner in Co Tyrone over the weekend.

Seventy-eight-year-old Francis O'Neill was found dead at his home in Omagh in the early hours of Saturday morning following a burglary.

The teenager charged with his murder is expected to be brought before Omagh Youth Court this morning.

A 15-year-old remains in police custody in connection with the investigation, while a 20-year-old man has been released without charge.
