Construction sector employment continuing to fall

Ulster Bank says the pace of job cuts in construction is accelerating as the sector continues to suffer from the decline in the property market.

The bank's latest Purchasing Managers Index report says employment in construction suffered its biggest fall last month since surveys began nine years ago.

More than half of companies involved in the latest survey reported a fall in employment during March.
