Two still detained over pensioner’s death

Police in the North are holding two youths in custody in connection with the murder of a pensioner at his home in Co. Tyrone.

Police in the North are holding two youths in custody in connection with the murder of a pensioner at his home in Co. Tyrone.

The body of the 78-year-old man was discovered at Brook Valley in Omagh, shortly before 1.30am on Saturday.

The two teenagers, aged 16 and 18, were initially arrested on suspicion of burglary, then released and subsequently rearrested.
