FG promises patient-friendly health system
Fine Gael is promising to bring health services to the patient if it gets into Government.
Delegates at the party's Ard Fheis in Dublin have been told that a new system of care will be put in place that will ensure that doctors travel to the public.
They have also passed a motion to reverse the decision to abolish the automatic entitlement of old age pensioners to a medical card and are promising to implement the decision if returned to Government.
Health spokesperson Doctor James Reilly said a new form of thinking has to be introduced to make the health service more efficient and patient-friendly.
