Arrests made in Belfast gang swoop
A number of people were arrested today at a retail park on the edge of Belfast by the PSNI’s Organised Crime Squad.
Police said that officers investigating organised crime had made the arrests at Holywood Exchange in the east of the city.
It is understood those detained were in a number of vehicles stopped close to Ikea.
The police operation, which a spokesman said was ongoing, caused major traffic disruption in the area.
The Organised Crime Squad operates against a range of organised criminal activity from fraud to drug dealing.
