Mid-east region hardest hit by rising unemployment

Meath, Wicklow and Kildare have been the worst hit by rising unemployment rates over the past year, according to the CSO.

Figures released earlier this week show that another 20,000 people joined the Live Register in March, bringing the unemployment rate to 11 per cent.
