Two arrested over Coolock killing

A man and a woman in their mid-20s have been arrested this evening in connection with the latest gangland style killing in the Coolock area of Dublin.

The body of 26-year-old David Fred Lynch, with addresses in Darndale and Ballymun in Dublin, was found with a number of gunshot wounds to the head yesterday afternoon.

He was discovered by a member of the public in an area of wasteland off Belcamp Lane, Coolock in the north of the capital.

The man and woman have been detained for questioning under Section 50 of The Criminal Justice Act at Coolock and Swords Garda Stations.
