70 jobs under threat at Athlone computer firm

Seventy jobs are feared to be under threat at a company in Athlone that makes high-end computer gaming machines.

A spokesperson has confirmed that Alienware is reviewing its operations and has entered into a 30-day consultation process with employees.

Alienware has links with Dell, which is in the process of shutting down its manufacturing operation in the Raheen area of Limerick.
