Unions to consider Government talks offer

Trade union umbrella group Congress will today consider an invitation from the Government to re-enter talks on an economic recovery plan.

ICTU yesterday welcomed the invitation, which was extended by Taoiseach Brian Cowen in a bid to avert next week's planned national strike.
