Gardaí examining phone believed to contain photos of shooting
Gardaí were this evening examining a mobile phone believed to have been used to take pictures of a Limerick crime figure who died after accidentally shooting himself at the weekend.
It is believed 29-year-old Philip Collopy may have shot himself in the head while inspecting a handgun at a house in St Mary's Park in the early hours of Saturday morning.
An image of the incident is believed to have been captured on a phone, which has now been seized by the Gardaí.
The father-of-two died in hospital last night.
