PSNI appeal for witnesses to armed robbery

Police in the North are appealing for witnesses to an armed robbery in Lisburn last night.

Three men, armed with knives entered an elderly woman's house near the Sloane Street area, just after 8 o' clock.

They cut her telephone line, threatened her, ransacked her house and made off with a sum of money.

The woman suffered a cut to her arm, but wasn't seriously injured.

Police are appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time and who saw anything suspicious to come forward.
