A Tallaght teenager who took part in a robbery in which he dropped a DVD player on a garda’s head has been given a three-year suspended sentence at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court.

A Tallaght teenager who took part in a robbery in which he dropped a DVD player on a garda’s head has been given a three-year suspended sentence at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court.

Declan Eccles (aged 18) and his co-accused Aaron Carey (aged 18), who was armed with a hammer, terrorised a security guard on a Tallaght building site before attempting to flee when gardaí arrived.
