Ahern hails Ireland's crime fighting expertise

International law agencies are increasingly turning to Ireland for help in fighting crime, it was revealed today.

Justice Minister Dermot Ahern said soaring requests for help from abroad reflected the country’s growing role in combating cross-border lawlessness.
