Crowley says Ireland is facing equality crisis

The former chief executive of the Equality Authority says Ireland is facing an equality crisis as well as an economic one.

Niall Crowley says the country's current equality infrastructure undermines democracy because it has diminished the responsibility of the State.

Mr Crowley resigned from the Equality Authority last year after its budget was slashed by more than 40%.
