Man’s body found in Dublin apartment

Gardaí are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a man whose body was found in an apartment in Dublin this morning.

The discovery was made on the Navan Road near the old Phoenix Park Racecourse at around 6.30am.

The dead man had suffered a gunshot wound to the head, but it is unknown if any foul play was involved.

The body remains at the scene and the apartment has been sealed off for a full technical examination.
