Woman to be sentenced for assault

A Laois woman is to be sentenced at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court for an assault at women's refuge in the city last year.

Julieanne Ward (aged 30) of Derrymore, Portarlington, pleaded guilty to assaulting another woman at Rathmines Women's Refuge on January 30, 2008.

Judge Katherine Delahunt remanded Ward in continuing custody with consent to bail and set a sentence date in June when full facts will be heard in the case.
