Two killed in separate crashes in Cork and Down

Two people have been killed in separate road crashes in Cork and Down.

An elderly woman was killed in a collision between a jeep and a trailer on the Ballynagappoge Road in Co. Down yesterday afternoon.

Meanwhile, a 28-year-old man has died after the van he was driving collided with a car in Macroom, Co. Cork at about 7.30am this morning.

He was removed to Cork University Hospital where he died a short time later.
