Crew of Latvian vessel refusing to sail out
The crew of a Latvian-owned ship is refusing the sail the vessel out of Cork as part of a dispute with their employers regarding pay.
The International Transport Federation says the nine crew members on the MV Defender are owed almost $100,000 (€79,910) and are refusing to sail the vessel until they are paid in full.
It says the same firm and the same vessel were also involved in a similar dispute less than a year ago.
