US President Barack Obama has officially invited the Taoiseach to the White House for St Patrick's Day.

US President Barack Obama has officially invited the Taoiseach to the White House for St Patrick's Day.

Details of the event have yet to be finalised, but Brian Cowen says he is looking forward to presenting Mr Obama with the traditional bowl of shamrock.
