680 new jobs announced in Carlow and Down

Almost 680 new jobs have been announced today in four separate companies in counties Down and Carlow.

In Down, French-owned Teleperformance is creating over 600 positions at its Newry base, while in Carlow almost 80 jobs are on the way in three separate companies.

Fifty of the positions are at start-up company Homefix Property Solutions, and two jobs are being created at Danelle Recycling Ltd.

Meanwhile UPC, the parent company of Chorus NTL, is investing €3m in infrastructure in Carlow.
