Man dies in Galway crash

A 28-year-old man has been killed in a road accident in Galway.

The single vehicle collision happened sometime between midnight and three o'clock this morning at Ballinahown, Rossavil.

The man, who was the driver, was killed when his car struck a water pump house.

His body has been taken to University Hospital Galway, where a post mortem will be carried out.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone who may have been on the road between 11.30pm and 3am this morning to contact them.
