Two questioned in relation to Belfast rape

Two men were today being questioned about the reported rape of a woman at the weekend.

The men, aged 27 and 28, were detained by detectives hunting those responsible for a serious sexual assault reported by a woman to have taken place in Belfast in the early hours of Saturday morning.

After her ordeal the woman was picked up by the driver of a silver car near a filling station and dropped in the Donegall Pass area of the city.

Police appealed for the driver of the car and anyone else with information about the attack to contact them.
