Search continues for missing Cork woman

The search for a 60-year-old widow from West Cork has become one of the largest since the hunt for Midleton schoolboy Robert Holohan four years ago.

Hundreds of people have been combing the countryside for Anne Corcoran, who has been missing from her Kilbrittian home for over two weeks.

A shoe found near her home is believed to belong to the widow but gardaí are not commenting on reports that her ATM card was used since her disappearance.

Her disappearance is still being treated as a missing persons case and gardai say they're are keeping an open mind in their investigation but they have extended the search area.

Inspector Brendan Fogarty who's leading the investigation told Cork's RedFM that the forensic examination of her car is continuing.
