'Recognition payment' row sparks Stormont debate
Politicians in the North are to debate controversial proposals to give the families of everyone killed during the Troubles £12,000 (€13,255), it was announced tonight.
Publication yesterday of the report by the Consultative Group on the Past, which has come up with recommendations on how the province finally comes to terms with the past decades, prompted angry exchanges.
