60 job losses feared at US firm in Co Clare
There are fears of more job losses in the mid-west today as a US firm prepares to brief workers in Shannon about its plans for the future.
Molex, which makes fibre-optic connectors, employs 450 people at its Irish operations.
The firm consolidated its Irish operations to Shannon last year after closing its plant in Millstreet, Co Cork, with the loss of 80 jobs.
There are fears that it may announce another 60 lay-offs today.
