New group set up to fight mid-west unemployment

A new umbrella group involving state agencies and third-level colleges is being set up to fight the rise in unemployment in the mid-west.

It follows the recent spate of job losses at Dell, Kostal and other major employers in the region.

The new group Tús Nua is to get those who have lost their jobs back into the labour market as quickly as possible.
