Letterkenny patient details discovered in Derry

An investigation is due to get underway into how documents relating to patients at Letterkenny General Hospital ended up being discovered in Derry.

Three pages of official hospital papers were found dumped last night in an alleyway in the Bogside area of Derry.

The documents are understood to contain the names, dates of birth and conditions of 12 patients.

Letterkenny Hospital has ordered an investigation into the matter.
