New FÁS scheme to help redundant apprentices

The state training agency FÁS is to introduce a new scheme to assist apprentice workers being made redundant in the construction sector.

Under the scheme, employers will be asked to provide out-of work apprentices with an opportunity to complete the work-placement phase of their training.
