A 28-year-old Lithuanian man is due in court in Tipperary this morning charged in connection with a fatal stabbing.

A 28-year-old Lithuanian man is due in court in Tipperary this morning charged in connection with a fatal stabbing.

A 29-year-old man, also from Lithuania, died following the incident at an apartment in Nenagh in the early hours of St Stephen's Day.

The man is due before a special sitting of Nenagh District Court about 11am today.

Meanwhile, gardaí investigating the death arrested another man last night.

The 27-year-old is being detained at Thurles Garda Station under Section Four of the Criminal Justice Act.

Two other men who were being questioned in relation to the attack have been released without charge, and a file is being prepared for the DPP.
