Leading commentator slams bank recapitalisation plan

A leading commentator on the Irish financial system has described the Government's recapitalisation plan for Irish banks as a huge mistake.

Brian Lucey, professor of finance at Trinity College Dublin, says the move is the weakest step the Government could have taken to address the problems in the Irish banking system.
