EU agrees further aid for Irish pig farmers

The European Union has today agreed further aid for Irish farmers who've been affected by the pork crisis.

Member states backed a disposal scheme for animals on farms that used dioxin contaminated feed, as well as for some pigmeat stocks held in slaughterhouses.
