Armagh hospital ward closed after C. diff outbreak

A ward at Craigavon Area Hospital in Co Armagh has been closed after an outbreak of the C. diff superbug.

Seven new cases of the illness have emerged in the last two weeks.

The affected ward is being deep-cleaned and people with diarrhoea are also being screened at accident and emergency.

Visitors are being asked to restrict numbers and clean their hands before and after going onto wards.
