Gardaí are seeking public assistance in tracing the whereabouts of a missing Tipperary man.

John Skehan (aged 56) was reported missing from his home at Monakeeba, Thurles last Friday.

When last seen he was wearing dark trousers, a light-coloured shirt, a dark V-neck jumper and a dark sleeveless jacket.

He is described as 5' 6'' in height and of medium build, with grey hair and green eyes.

The last positive sighting of John is at Kent railway station in Cork city at 9pm on Saturday morning.
