10-year-old returning home after ground breaking surgery
A 10-year-old girl from Co Wexford has arrived back in Ireland today following ground-breaking surgery in the United States.
Nicole Cahill, from Marshalstown, near Enniscorthy, was confined to a wheelchair at the age of six after a viral infection caused her to have a stroke.
For the past six months she has been treated at the Beth Israel Hospital in New York where she underwent surgery and at the Rusk Institute.
It is hoped that she will eventually make a full recovery.
