Gardaí arrest two in failed credit union robbery
Two men are in Garda custody this evening having been arrested in a failed attempt to rob a credit union in Rathfarnham Village, Dublin.
A 4x4 jeep was driven at the entrance of the credit union shortly after closing time at 5pm.
The raiders left the scene without entering the building, and the vehicle was found abandoned a short distance away.
There were no injuries to staff or passers by.
Both men were arrested and are being detained at Rathfarnham and Tallaght garda stations under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.
