Government to pay back Cap funding

The Government will have to pay back almost €2.5m in agriculture payments to the EU.

Almost €2,225,000 in funding under the Common Agricultural Policy is being claimed back because of ineligible spending on the fruit and vegetable sector while the remainder is because the Government failed to operate proper payment procedures.
