Ireland's annual inflation rate has fallen sharply to 2.5%, largely due to cuts in interest rates aimed at boosting economic activity in the euro-zone.

The Central Statistics Office says average prices fell by 0.9% during the month of November, bringing the annual inflation rate down from 4% to 2.5%.
