Carlow firm says it only ever purchased oil in Republic
The Co Carlow food recycling plant at the centre of the pork contamination crisis has issued a statement saying it only ever purchased oil from a legitimate supplier in the Republic of Ireland.
The statement follows reports that gardaí are investigating a company in Co Tyrone as the possible source of waste oil that caused the dioxin contamination scare over the weekend.
Millstream Recycling says it will not be making any further comment at this stage due to the fact that the gardaí and Environmental Protection Agency are continuing their investigations.
