INOU says training and education must be priority

The Irish National Organisation for the Unemployed says the provision of training and education must be a priority for people finding themselves out of work due to the recession.

The Irish National Organisation for the Unemployed says the provision of training and education must be a priority for people finding themselves out of work due to the recession.

The organisation is holding a seminar today on the links between education, training and employment. It will be opened by Labour Minister Billy Kelleher.

Speaking ahead of the event, INOU spokesperson Brid O'Brien said it was particularly important to invest in training and education during the current downturn to ensure Irish workers are best-placed to take advantage when the economy improves.
