Man still in custody over teenager’s disappearance
Gardaí in Dublin are continuing to question one man this morning in connection with the disappearance and suspected murder of a Romanian teenager earlier this year.
The man was one of four people arrested over the weekend in connection with the disappearance of 19-year-old Marioara Rostas in January.
The other three - a man and two women - have been released without charge.
Ms Rostas, a member of the Roma community, disappeared shortly after arriving in Ireland and was last seen getting into a car with a man in the Pearse Street area.
Gardaí reportedly believe she was abducted by a gangland criminal in Dublin and shot dead at a house in the Coombe, which was later set on fire.
The house has been forensically examined and divers have been conducting searches of the Grand Canal in an effort to locate her body.
