A man's body has been found in a river in Co Meath.

The body was recovered from the River Boyne in Navan at around 8.30am this morning by the Meath River Rescue team.

The body of the man, who is believed to have been in his early 70s, has been removed to Our Lady’s Hospital in Navan.
